American Idol is a famous television show, it is a show which includes a search of superstar. The show hosted by Ryan seacrest and contestants need to go through the preliminary round to be selected for singing talent and those who pass the prelims will be aired on the show, then thay audition before the judges, sometimes a celebrity fourth judge may be added. Past audition cities include new york city, los angels, san francisco, washigton, las vegas etc.
Contestants of american idol should be the permanent resident of united states and should be eligible to work full time for three seasons. Auditioning contestants must bring with them to auditions a valid proof of age such has birth certificate or driving license or a passport and minor contestants should be accompanied with the gudian or parents.American Idol is divided into seasons, in season one 30 semifinalists were splited to three groups each ten and top three from each group were advanced to final 10, where 9 left and 10th one was choosen for the wildcard. A wildcard round includes those singers who were eliminated and judges feel to give second chance for them. Semifinalists were split into male and female where male finalits will perform against the other men and female against other female. Each contestant perform live in primetime, a song of his or her choice and will receive the critiques from judges.
Viewers have two hours following the broadcast of the show in their time zone to phone in votes for their favorite contestant by calling a toll-free number and voters can also send the text messages from their cell phones. Callers are allowed to vote as many times as they like to any number of contestants. After the results six men and six women will be remained for finals. In finals each finalist need to perform a live song in primetime from weekly theme at CBs television city. After that three will be choosen and from that american idol will be chosen.
